Welcome to Axminster. As a former working saw mill, Mill Water House
stands well off the road in its own large garden and yet is only
a short walk from the town centre. We have comfortable en-suite
rooms with tea and coffee making facilities, large dining room,
ample off-road parking, an undercover area for bicycles and motorbikes,
guest garden and barbecue area.
Should you arrive by train or bus, if possible, we will be glad
to collect you.
Within 5 – 10 minutes walk you will find Axminsters shops,
pubs and restaurants including Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstalls
River Cottage local produce store and canteen. On Thursdays
there is a general market in the town square and from May to the
end of October there is a lunchtime concert at the church of St
Mary The Virgin. Be sure to visit Axminster
Tourist Information Centre for all you wish to know about local
events.
We are some 5 miles inland from the Jurassic Coast and the nearest
seaside towns of Lyme Regis and Seaton. There are sandy and pebble
beaches both good for swimming, fishing and other water sports within
easy reach of Axminster.
If you prefer walking or cycling there are numerous footpaths and
lanes that criss cross the countryside enabling you to visit hidden
away villages and enjoy stunning views.
Breakfast is generally between 8am and 9am. Rooms
must be vacated by 10.30am on day of departure
but you are welcome to leave your car/motorbike here while you visit
the town.
We are a non-smoking establishment.
From £30.00 per person
per night payable by cheque or cash.
